May 12th, 2020 @ 5:11 pm GUIDELINES [ ] Welcome to creativeartists love den! Oh that's right, this is the place where you can come and get your love! This activity is going to be easy as pie, and is meant to make everyone feel that warm and fuzzy feeling we all like to have. The activity will go as follows: 1) Occasionally, we will post an entry in this journal with a picture of something that makes you smile (oh yeah, we're talking rainbows, kittens, puppies, etc). When you see that post on your friends page? It's time to get to lovin'. 2) How do you get to lovin'? It's easy. Simply post a comment with either your name or someone else's name and let it be! The idea is that as other people filter through the post they will reply to your original comment and say nice things about the person in question. For example, if someone commented with "Richard Lovett" you would reply with "Is the most awesome agent ever!" 3) Anonymous comments will be enabled, but screened. We will try our best to unscreen them as quickly as possible. We are trying it without screening for now, you're on the honor system! It should go without saying that if we see any kind of negativity going on, those comments will be deleted. Like Mary J. Blige says, we don't need no hateration in this dancery. 4) Keep in mind that everyone likes to be complimented. If you are not familiar with the person whose name you stumble upon, we encourage you to Google, Wikipedia, or simply check out their journal in order to familiarize yourself. This activity is meant to encourage warmth and camaraderie, but also to help you spread your wings and broaden your horizons and social groups. You may just find out you've been missing out on someone awesome was this whole time! 5) This is an In Character exercise. Please keep all comments/compliments in character. May 11th, 2020 @ 2:28 pm GUIDELINES PART 2 [ ] Our second activity for promoting love will be a little different and will involve our secrets community, thebacklot. In addition to kind words once a month, we also thought it would be great to get some positive graphics going on as well. After all, everybody likes seeing their face with something sweet written next to it, right? We thought so! Here's what this activity will consist of: 1) Once a month (though not at the same time as the other activity) we will post a submission post. If you'd like to participate, simply comment with your name. This post will usually go up on a Sunday. You will have two days after the submission post to drop your name off! 2) On the Wednesday after the Sunday submission post, you will receive a PM (so be sure to check your PMs!) with the name of another member of the community. Your job is to take the rest of the week to get to know that person through reading their entries, commenting with them, or chatting with them over AIM if you both have it and come up with something positive to say about that person in a secret. We will make a post reminding you to check your PMs in case IJ is being wonky! 3) Create your positive secret and submit it by the secret deadline! When the secrets are posted, it's up to you if you want to reveal yourself or not as the secret maker.
